La théorie du Boxeur: a film about the resilience of our environment
Every Monday evening, we organise free events at the Entropy restaurant to raise awareness of the issues surrounding sustainability, our environment and our food!
Last Monday, we screened ‘La théorie du Boxeur’ by Nathanaël Coste, on the initiative of our partner Bleen.
In today's boxing ring, it's our environment, our eco-systems, that are put to the test: will they be able to withstand the shocks, the many blows?
Here are some of the issues addressed in the film:
Sharing water: A precious resource, 1,350 litres are needed to produce 1 kg of wheat, at a time when water management is becoming crucial, especially in water-deficit areas.💦
Food resilience: Only 35% of the food consumed (in France) is produced locally. How can we rethink our food circuits and strengthen self-sufficiency? 🥕
The loss of biodiversity: 69% of vertebrates have disappeared in 50 years. The impact of modern agriculture and the need to restore biodiversity in our practices. 🐝
The stakes are high, and with half of all farmers due to retire in less than 10 years... What will we actually eat?
There are promising avenues to explore... but we still have to take an interest 🧐 !
At Entropy, whether you're visiting an event or organising one, you're welcome! Join us in the ring!
